Upgraded to WP 2.0.1
After having problem with trackbacks, I upgraded to WP 2.0.1 rather than downgraded to WP 1.5.2. Unfortunately, I forgot my database password. I tried to add a new user to the database but it didn’t work. Then, I decided to flush all the tables and make a new one. I did backup for my database using Cpanel. The problem arised when I want to restore the database. Only a table were restored.
After trying for many times, I tried to ask for help. Thanks to emptyspace. Actually my sql file is too big (11MB). It was full with the data of my referrer, visitors’ IP, visitors’ browsers etc as I used Counterize plugins. Now I didn’t use it anymore because SiteMeter is offering the same service and I can keep my database “clean”.
The main fixes are:
* You can now specify an upload directory, and whether to use date-based storage or not.
* Caching has been fixed under certain PHP enviroments.
* Permalinks have been fixed for weird enviroments as well.
* XML-RPC uploading works.
* Compatibility with older versions of PHP.
* Several WYSIWYG fixes and cleanups.
* Imports now use much less memory.
* Now works with MySQL 5.0 in strict mode.
Now I want to publish this and ping PPS to make sure trackbacks function works properly. ![]()
