Do you trust your link exchange partners?

Posted on December 20th, 2006.

Last two days, I’ve updated my blogroll to find out whether my link-exchange partners still have my link at their website. And what I’ve found out, a blog, which I remember to have quite number of links before, displays no more links. WTF? Because his site now has PR6 and is well blessed with traffic, he can remove my link (and others too) from his website. Scheiße!

Somemore, I’ve realizes that people put the links not on the front page anymore. They are intended to put the links on a so-called “partners and links” page. It is not fair, when I put the link to blog A on my front page while my link is hidden behind the front page of Blog A. Therefore I must treat them the same. I’ve created a Partners and Links page just like the others do.

If someone wants his link to be appear on the front page, my link must be treated the same on his website. But if you don’t want to link to me, yet still want your link on my website (is my blog that good? No, but I’ve PR5 :) ! ), you still can. I’ve installed Show Top Commentators plug-in. The more you put some comments on this blog, the higher the chance for you to be linked.

Yes, I also had an experience about that..some bloggers just think that I’ve forgot about the links so they just remove it from their page..It is not fair since, they are the one who asked to exchange links first, but after a while, they think that they’re strong enough to treat me like that..

Really annoying and sometimes piss me off..

It is not they, but only he. When he did not remember to put my link, I prefer to email him. But, if he forgot to put all the links he used to have before, what does that mean? Haha. We don’t need that kind of people.

My traffic is going through the roof due to my post about footballers’ girls in conjunction with FIFA World Cup 2006. It all started with Abigail Clancy, partner of England footballer, Peter Crouch. For the search term “Abigail Clancy” my post is ranked as number one. From that day, my daily hits are about 600. [...]
