Fadtastic - A bright and fluid 3-column theme

Posted on December 27th, 2006.

Wordpress fadtastic theme by Andrew Faulkner
I’ve came across this Wordpress theme at my Wordpress.com blog. Fadtastic is a clean Wordpress theme by Andrew Faulkner and the recently added theme by Wordpress.com and I like it. With three columns, it gives you more spaces in your blog to expand your creativity. You can put your AdSense Skyscrapper on the middle column.

Besides, it have another section at the bottom, which displays Blogroll by default. This section can be manipulated according to your creativity. You can see the customized version of this theme on the theme page itself. Here!

With unfixed width, it gives your readers the comfortability of reading your blog with any screen resolution. The sidebars remain fixed, while the content can expand to fill your monitor.

Andrew Faulkner said that his theme is rather nicely Search Engine Optimized. I am quite agree with that. The post title uses h1 tag, which you can hardly find in any other themes. Others use h1 tag for the main header. Moreover, Fadtastic works fine with any browsers.

Do consider to change your Wordpress theme for new year 2007. :)

Very nice theme :) But for header I think it is better to use green and blue color like he used in footer. Maybe it will look much more nicer. Just my opinion…

The bad of this theme is, the css files are separated into four and put together on another folder. You can edit the css directly from WP Admin page. I dont know why the author do that. It makes my life difficult :(

how about if you combine all the files into one file. btw i think the designer did that because it makes him easier to edit his design.

I have tried to combine the css, but no success. With my little knowledge about CSS, nothing much that I can do. I dont know which one must be above which one. But it doesnt matter, I need to edit the CSS only once, when the first installation of this theme. After that I rarely look at the CSS. :)

But, don’t feel too shabby about it, css is not too hard to learn..at least if you are serious, go get some books..I recommend you the “CSS:The Missing Manual” by David Sawyer..very2 easy to understand..

New design

The theme of this website have been changed again. Before this, I used my customized version of PressRow. PressRow is a two-column theme with a simple design. But after I read this post about how Tim Yang’s Problogger Clean theme performs to generate Adsense income, I quickly switched to the theme. The theme is simple [...]
