GMX Freemail gives me spams after registration
GMX (Global Message eXchange) is a popular free email provider in Germany. I’ve made my account with GMX, because the domain name looks cool and simple for me, yourname@gmx.de. And the dot DE is the most attractive part (Since I am in Germany, I want to have a dot DE email. WTF!) But, the worst part of this free service is that my mailbox got spammed after few hours I registered with them. What the heck?!! If my Gmail account got spammed, it is not a surprise to me because it is used to contact many people and I got many forwarded message via that email address (If you want to forward message to many people, use the BCC function, please).
I don’t know what is wrong with GMX. Maybe the username was used by someone else before. By the way, I am also annoyed with the ads from the company. Every week I get “GMX Best prices” promotions. That is the price I have to pay for free service. Now I am considering to buy a dot DE domain.

Well, I can offer you an email account with the domain einfach-orange.de (which translates as “simply orange”) for free … it is not as short as gmx but you wouldn’t have to pay and I won’t try to sell you anything ![]()

Also make sure you don’t loose your password. GMX has impenetrable procedures to ever get your pass word reset even for paid customers. My sister had to abandon her E-Mail address with many valuable e-mails in it.
