Malware issues - Windows still can’t beat Mac OS X
According to McAfee Avert Labs blog, from over 236,000 malicious malware items, most of them are meant for Microsoft Windows OS and only 700 for Unix/Linux. Mac OS X has not surprising number 7, which can be a proof that it is almost safe from any malware.
According to the article in ZDNet blog, this low number of malwares in MacOS X platform might due to the difficult architecture of Mac OS X. Besides, it is also because the hackers don’t have interest to crack the Mac as only 5% from home users use Mac. Windows users are the bigger target group for them. Many terms of computer, that I don’t understand diminished my interest.
By the way, I personally also want to have a Mac. After comparing the price, it seems that MacBook is not too expensive compared to Dell Inspiron 9400 with almost same specifications. Most Mac users are satisfied with the performance of Mac, and the cost for maintenance is almost zero. Nah, I must start saving money now and participate in all contests, which offer MacBook as the price.
