Have you ever use public computer, which is not installed with instant messenger softwares, such as Yahoo Messenger and AIM? Probably it is the computer in the library or school computer room. And the worst part is, you cannot install the software because you don’t have enough permission to do that.
If you have such problem, maybe you can give meebo a try. With meebo, you can connect and use your instant messenger just using internet browser, such as Firefox and Internet Explorer.
With meebo, you can adapt quickly with the interface since the interface is designed to look like the messenger software. You can freely drag the friend list window and the chat window.
But, there is a minus point of this service, that I have discovered. The version used by meebo does not support many features like the real messenger software. My friend used meebo to log-in to his Yahoo Messenger account, since he had problem with the software. As a result, I could not send files, load IMviroments and share photos with him.
By the way, it is a acceptable solution for the public computer without messenger software installed.
